Defense / Passing Clinic
Tuesday September 14
Time: 7:30 – 9:00 PM
Location: Concordia Lutheran Church (CCLS)
This clinic session is essential for players who want to improve their technique and become top-notch passers and defenders. We will focus on 4 primary skills: moving to the ball, controlling the easy and hard driven spike, developing floor skills, and all forms of serve receive.
Hitters Clinic
Tuesday September 21
Time: 7:30 - 9:00 PM
Location: Concordia Lutheran Church (CCLS)
Players will learn hitting skills including approach and take off, hand contact, shot selection, power emphasis, attacking against a blocker and back-row attacking.
Serving Clinic
Tuesday September 28
Time: 7:30 – 9:00 PM
Location: Concordia Lutheran Church (CCLS)
Players will learn how to be a “smart” server and how to serve to different areas of the court based on the opponents’ serve receive pattern. We will also cover the fundamentals of how to float serve, top spin serve, and jump serve.
Setters Clinic
Tuesday October 5
Time: 7:30 - 9:00 PM
Location: Concordia Lutheran Church (CCLS)
Setters will learn how to improve their setting control and accuracy and expand their repertoire of sets. Setters will learn how to set the pass off the net, game management, reading blockers and how to use the other teams’ blocking schemes against them.
Middle Hitter Clinic
Tuesday October 5
Time: 7:30 – 9:00 PM
Location: Concordia Lutheran Church (CCLS)
Middle’s will learn how to hit the ball hard, have a faster arm swing, and how to hit a cut shot. We will cover the proper footwork and arm swings to hit a “3”, a “1”, a back set, and a slide. This clinic is critical for the blossoming middle hitter.
